Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis efektivitas kinerja mesin Decanter di PT. XYZ menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness(OEE). Mesin Decanter berperan penting dalam proses pengolahan kelapa sawit karena berfungsi memisahkan sludge menjadi minyak, air, dan padatan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi perusahaan adalah tingginya downtime akibat kerusakan mesin yang menyebabkan penurunan kinerja operasional dan tidak optimalnya pencapaian target produksi. Pengukuran efektivitas dilakukan berdasarkan tiga indikator OEE, yaitu availability, performance, dan quality. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi selama periode 21–30 Juli 2025. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata availability sebesar 92,76%, performance sebesar 83,10%, dan quality sebesar 95%, sehingga diperoleh nilai OEE sebesar 73,23%. Nilai tersebut masih berada di bawah standar world class sebesar 85%, yang menunjukkan bahwa kinerja mesin Decanter belum optimal. Analisis menggunakan diagram fishbone menunjukkan bahwa penyebab utama penurunan kinerja berasal dari faktor mesin, manusia, metode, dan material. Berdasarkan diagram afinitas, usulan perbaikan yang diberikan meliputi peningkatan preventive maintenance, pelatihan operator, penerapan SOP yang lebih terstruktur, dan pengendalian kualitas material. Usulan tersebut diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas mesin serta efisiensi produksi perusahaan.

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Decanter machine performance at PT. XYZ using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. The Decanter machine plays an important role in the palm oil processing process because it functions to separate sludge into oil, water, and solids. The problem faced by the company is the high downtime due to machine damage which causes a decrease in operational performance and suboptimal achievement of production targets. Effectiveness measurements are carried out based on three OEE indicators, namely availability, performance, and quality. Research data were obtained through observations during the period of July 21–30, 2025. The results of the analysis showed an average value of availability of 92.76%, performance of 83.10%, and quality of 95%, resulting in an OEE value of 73.23%. This value is still below the world-class standard of 85%, which indicates that the Decanter machine performance is not optimal. Analysis using a fishbone diagram shows that the main causes of the decline in performance come from machine, human, method, and material factors. Based on the affinity diagram, proposed improvements include increased preventive maintenance, operator training, the implementation of more structured standard operating procedures (SOPs), and material quality control. These proposals are expected to increase machine effectiveness and the company's production efficiency.
