Abstract

Proses pengolahan TBS menjadi CPO melibatkan banyak aktivitas yang menyebabkan timbulnya oil losses, yang menjadi salah satu indikator penting dalam menilai efisiensi produksi di pabrik kelapa sawit. Penilaian kualitas dengan penerapan metode Six Sigma digunakan untuk menganalisis tingkat oil losses pada proses pengolahan CPO di PT. XYZ. Data-data dikumpulkan melalui penelitian secara langsung dengan berfokus pada data kehilangan minyak di beberapa titik proses, yaitu air rebusan, tandan kosong, biji, dan ampas. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghitung kapabilitas proses (Process Capability/CP), Defect per Million Opportunity (DPMO), serta level sigma proses produksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai CP pada air rebusan sebesar 0,9573, tandan kosong sebesar 1,0000, biji sebesar 0,8483, dan ampas sebesar 0,8045. Berdasarkan penelitian, diperoleh nilai DPMO sebesar 16.818,75, dan level sigma sebesar 3,6244. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa proses pengolahan TBS menjadi CPO di PT. XYZ masih berada pada tingkat kapabilitas proses yang cukup baik, namun masih terdapat potensi perbaikan untuk menekan tingkat oil losses. Maka dari itu, dibutukan pengendalian proses produksi secara berkelanjutan, sehingga diperoleh kualitas produksi yang bai, dan rendemen minyak dapat meningkat.

The process of converting fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude palm oil (CPO) involves numerous activities that result in oil losses, which serve as a key indicator for assessing production efficiency at palm oil mills. A quality assessment using the Six Sigma methodology was employed to analyze the level of oil losses in the CPO processing at PT. XYZ. Data were collected through direct research focusing on oil loss data at several process points, namely boiling water, empty bunches, seeds, and pomace. The analysis was conducted by calculating process capability (CP), Defects per Million Opportunities (DPMO), and the production process sigma level. The results of the study show that the CP value for the boiling water is 0.9573, for empty bunches is 1.0000, for seeds is 0.8483, and for pomace is 0.8045. Based on the study, a DPMO value of 16,818.75 and a sigma level of 3.6244 were obtained. These results indicate that the process of converting TBS into CPO at PT. XYZ is still at a fairly good level of process capability; however, there is still potential for improvement to reduce oil loss rates. Therefore, continuous control of the production process is required to ensure good production quality and to increase oil yield.
