Abstract

Kinerja peralatan produksi menentukan konsistensi aliran proses dan kemampuan perusahaan mempertahankan kualitas produk. Studi ini menilai kondisi operasional mesin sterilizer PT. XYZ dengan indikator Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) dan menggunakan prinsip Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) sebagai dasar rekomendasi perbaikan. Data observasi meliputi total produksi, waktu tersedia, waktu berhenti, waktu operasi, dan cycle time selama periode pengamatan. Analisis dilakukan dengan menghitung availability, performance efficiency, dan quality rate, kemudian membandingkan hasilnya dengan acuan OEE kelas dunia. Hasil pengolahan data menunjukkan availability rata-rata 74,08%, performance efficiency 67,93%, dan quality rate 100%, sehingga OEE total berada pada 50,75%. Angka tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa pemanfaatan sterilizer masih jauh dari kondisi optimal. Masalah utama berada pada downtime yang tinggi dan kemampuan proses yang belum stabil, yang berkaitan dengan jadwal perawatan, kesiapan operator, serta dukungan suku cadang. Rekomendasi diarahkan pada penguatan autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, education and training, dan pencatatan gangguan berbasis data. Penerapan perbaikan ini diharapkan memperbaiki ketersediaan mesin, menekan kehilangan waktu produksi, dan mendorong peningkatan produktivitas secara berkelanjutan.

The performance of production equipment determines process continuity and the ability of a company to maintain product quality. This study assesses the operational condition of the sterilizer machine at PT. XYZ using Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), while Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) is used as the basis for improvement recommendations. The observed data include production output, available time, downtime, operating time, and cycle time during the observation period. The analysis calculates availability, performance efficiency, and quality rate, then compares the results with the world-class OEE benchmark. The results show an average availability of 74.08%, performance efficiency of 67.93%, and quality rate of 100%, resulting in an overall OEE of 50.75%. This value indicates that the sterilizer has not been utilized optimally. The main problems are high downtime and unstable process capability, which are related to maintenance scheduling, operator readiness, and spare part support. The proposed improvement focuses on strengthening autonomous maintenance, planned maintenance, education and training, and data-based disturbance recording. These actions are expected to improve machine availability, reduce lost production time, and support sustainable productivity improvement.
