Analisis Oil losses Fiber Pada Mesin Press dengan Metode PDCA di PT. XYZ

Penelitian ini membahas pengendalian kehilangan minyak pada fiber di stasiun press PT. XYZ dengan menerapkan siklus Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA). Oil losses menjadi indikator penting karena minyak yang masih terbawa pada ampas dapat menurunkan rendemen Crude Palm Oil (CPO), memengaruhi mutu melalui peningkatan potensi Free Fatty Acid (FFA), serta menambah beban biaya proses. Data yang digunakan berasal dari hasil pengujian laboratorium terhadap tiga mesin press selama 2 Juni 2025 hingga 30 Juli 2025. Pada tahap Plan, nilai losses aktual dibandingkan dengan batas mutu perusahaan sebesar 7% untuk memperoleh losses bersih. Tahap Do memanfaatkan diagram Pareto untuk menetapkan prioritas mesin yang paling berkontribusi terhadap losses. Tahap Check menelusuri faktor penyebab melalui fishbone diagram, sedangkan tahap Act merumuskan tindakan korektif pada aspek manusia, material, mesin, dan metode. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Press 2 menjadi sumber losses dominan dengan nilai losses bersih 17,13% dan kontribusi 62,02% dari total losses. Permasalahan utama berkaitan dengan kemampuan operator dalam menentukan pengaturan operasi, kondisi bahan baku yang belum seragam, gangguan dan keausan komponen mesin, serta penerapan SOP yang belum sepenuhnya sesuai dengan kondisi lapangan. Perbaikan yang disarankan mencakup standardisasi parameter operasi, inspeksi dan perawatan mesin yang lebih disiplin, pengendalian mutu TBS saat penerimaan, serta evaluasi ulang SOP proses press.
This study examines fiber oil losses at the press station of PT. XYZ through the Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle. Oil remaining in press fiber is a critical production issue because it can reduce CPO yield, affect product quality through the potential increase of Free Fatty Acid (FFA), and create additional operating costs. Laboratory test records for three press machines from June 2 to July 30, 2025 were used as the research data. In the Plan stage, actual losses were compared with the company maximum limit of 7% to obtain net losses. The Do stage employed a Pareto diagram to determine the dominant machine, while the Check stage used a fishbone diagram to investigate root causes. The Act stage formulated corrective actions based on human, material, machine, and method factors. The results indicate that Press 2 contributed the largest net oil losses, reaching 17.13% or 62.02% of the total losses. The causes were associated with non-optimal operating parameters, non-uniform raw material conditions, machine wear and damage, and operational procedures that were not fully aligned with field conditions. Recommended actions include establishing press operating parameters, strengthening routine inspection and maintenance, improving raw material supervision, and revising SOP implementation at the press station.
