Electric pole installation activities using cranes constitute a high-risk construction task involving complex human-machine-environment interactions. This study aims to analyze the human ergonomic factors influencing worker safety and productivity in such activities. The methods employed include posture assessment using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA), physical workload measurement through Cardiovascular Load percentage (%CVL), and mental workload evaluation using the NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX). The study was conducted on five distinct work positions directly involved in the installation of 20 kV distribution poles. REBA analysis revealed that excavation and rigging activities exhibit the highest risk scores (scores 11 and 8, respectively), requiring immediate corrective action. CVL measurements identified that excavation workers and riggers experience heavy to very heavy workloads (62.7% and 54.1%). NASA-TLX analysis demonstrated that crane operators bear the highest mental workload, with a Weighted Workload (WWL) score of 73.2. This study presents ergonomic intervention recommendations based on the hierarchy of controls (elimination, substitution, engineering, administrative, and PPE) that electric utility companies may implement to reduce injury risks and sustainably improve work efficiency.
