Abstract

Pengelolaan inventaris yang tidak terstruktur menjadi permasalahan kritis bagi UMKM di sektor material bangunan. UD. Tumorang Jaya Medan, sebuah usaha panglong di Medan, Sumatera Utara, menghadapi kondisi overstock serius pada 11 item produk utama—meliputi semen, besi, kayu, cat, kloset, keramik, pipa PVC, pasir, bata ringan, genteng, dan kabel—akibat sistem pencatatan penjualan dan pembelian yang masih sepenuhnya berbasis kertas dan tidak terintegrasi antar departemen. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan mixed-method dengan analisis kuantitatif terhadap 1.247 transaksi penjualan dan 389 transaksi pembelian periode 2025. Solusi yang dirancang mencakup dua komponen: optimasi parameter inventaris menggunakan model, serta integrasi sistem Enterprise Resource Planing berbasis Odoo untuk menghubungkan data pembelian, gudang, dan penjualan secara real-time. Odoo dipilih karena bersifat open-source, modular, dan terjangkau untuk skala UMKM. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan potensi penurunan nilai overstock sebesar 41,7%, pengurangan kerugian barang rusak hingga Rp 52,4 juta per tahun, dan peningkatan akurasi data stok dari 59,4% menjadi 93,1%.

Unstructured inventory management is a critical challenge for SMEs in the building materials retail sector. UD. Tumorang Jaya, a panglong business in Medan, North Sumatra, faces severe overstocking across 11 primary product lines—including cement, steel, timber, paint, sanitary ware, ceramic tiles, PVC pipes, sand, lightweight bricks, roof tiles, and cables—due to a fully paper-based recording system with no cross-departmental integration between purchasing, warehousing, and sales. This study employs a mixed-method approach, analyzing 1,247 sales and 389 purchasing transactions throughout 2025. The proposed solution comprises two components: inventory parameter optimization using Economic Order Quantity (EOQ), Reorder Point (ROP), and Safety Stock models, alongside the implementation of Odoo-based ERP to integrate purchasing, warehouse, and sales data in real-time. Odoo was selected for its open-source nature, modular architecture, and affordability at the SME scale. Simulation results indicate a potential 41.7% reduction in overstock value, annual goods deterioration losses cut by IDR 52.4 million, and stock data accuracy improving from 59.4% to 93.1%.
