Perancangan Tata Letak Fasilitas PT. XYZ Menggunakan Metode Automated Layout Design Program (ALDEP)

Tata letak fasilitas merupakan faktor penting dalam meningkatkan efisiensi proses produksi dan menekan biaya material handling. PT. XYZ merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang produksi genteng beton yang masih menghadapi permasalahan tata letak fasilitas kurang efisien, ditandai dengan jarak antar departemen yang berjauhan, aliran produksi tidak berurutan, serta terjadinya backtracking pada perpindahan material. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang ulang tata letak fasilitas produksi menggunakan metode Automated Layout Design Program (ALDEP). Data yang digunakan meliputi luas area setiap departemen dan hubungan kedekatan antar aktivitas yang dianalisis melalui Activity Relationship Chart(ARC), kemudian divisualisasikan dalam Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) dan Area Allocation Diagram (AAD). Selanjutnya, softwareALDEP digunakan untuk menghasilkan alternatif tata letak terbaik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rancangan tata letak usulan mampu menempatkan departemen yang memiliki hubungan kerja tinggi secara lebih berdekatan, memperlancar aliran proses produksi, mengurangi perpindahan material yang tidak perlu, serta meningkatkan efisiensi penggunaan ruang. Dengan demikian, metode ALDEP efektif digunakan sebagai pendekatan dalam perancangan ulang tata letak fasilitas pada PT. XYZ.
Facility layout is an important factor in improving production process efficiency and reducing material handling costs. PT. XYZ is a company engaged in concrete roof tile manufacturing that still faces inefficient facility layout problems, characterized by long distances between departments, unorganized production flow, and backtracking in material movement. This study aims to redesign the production facility layout using the Automated Layout Design Program (ALDEP) method. The data used include the area size of each department and the closeness relationships between activities analyzed through the Activity Relationship Chart (ARC), then visualized in the Activity Relationship Diagram (ARD) and Area Allocation Diagram (AAD). Furthermore, ALDEP software was used to generate the best alternative layout. The results showed that the proposed layout was able to place departments with high work relationships closer together, improve production flow, reduce unnecessary material movement, and increase space utilization efficiency. Therefore, the ALDEP method is effective as an approach for redesigning the facility layout at PT. XYZ.
