Tri-Path Sandal is an innovative therapeutic sandal designed to simplify the lives of post-stroke patients, especially in restoring their ability to walk normally and training leg muscle strength. This research is done in hopes of developing the Tri-Path Sandal product using the Nigel Cross method. Tri-Path Sandal is equipped with a visual laser that helps guide the user's steps, an auditory feedback clicker that functions as a step detector, and also a resistance band that functions to train leg muscles in a sitting position. The process was accomplished using the Nigel Cross rational method which is made of seven integrated steps, namely clarifying goals, determining functions, compiling needs, determining characteristics, generating alternatives, evaluating alternatives, and developing the final design. With the goal of ensuring that the product is in accordance with consumer needs, Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is used to interpret user desires into technical characteristics, and the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine attribute priorities according to consumer preferences. The final design was completed using the value engineering method, which has in succession reduced production costs from Rp689,500 to Rp264,500 without reducing product functionality. Tri-Path Sandal is an innovative, comfortable, and economical solution for post-stroke patients who have difficulty mobilizing.
