Penerapan Metode Quality Function Deployment pada Perancangan dan Pengembangan Produk Dry Flow Rack

Perkembangan masyarakat modern yang dinamis menuntut solusi praktis, efisien, dan inovatif untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari termasuk pengeringan pakaian karena penjemuran konvensional bergantung cuaca sering menyebabkan waktu pengeringan lama, kurang optimal, menimbulkan kelembapan memicu bau tidak sedap, dan pertumbuhan bakteri pada pakaian, sehingga berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas dan kenyamanan pakaian; oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi produk yang menghadirkan sistem pengeringan cepat, higienis, dan tidak bergantung kondisi lingkungan, sehingga dirancang Dry Flow Rack sebagai alat pengering pakaian berbasis sirkulasi udara yang mempercepat proses pengeringan merata dan efisien, dilengkapi fitur pendukung seperti silica gel untuk menyerap kelembapan udara, sensor kelembapan untuk memantau dan mengontrol kondisi otomatis, serta sinar ultraviolet (UV) yang menjaga kebersihan dan membunuh bakteri pada pakaian, sehingga kualitas hasil pengeringan baik dan aman digunakan; dalam perancangannya digunakan metode Quality Function Deployment (QFD) sebagai pendekatan sistematis dan terstruktur untuk menerjemahkan kebutuhan dan keinginan konsumen ke karakteristik teknis produk, dengan hasil analisis menunjukkan atribut utama diprioritaskan adalah fitur penghambat bakteri dan kapasitas serapan tinggi, sementara karakteristik teknis menjadi fokus meliputi efisiensi konsumsi energi, kapasitas serapan, kemudahan dan lama waktu perakitan, sehingga produk tidak hanya mampu memenuhi kebutuhan konsumen optimal, tetapi juga memiliki nilai tambah potensi daya saing baik di pasaran.
The development of dynamic modern society demands practical, efficient, and innovative solutions for daily needs including drying clothes, because conventional drying depends on the weather often causes long drying times, is less than optimal, causes humidity that triggers unpleasant odors and bacterial growth on clothes, thus impacting the decline in the quality and comfort of clothes; therefore, product innovation is needed that presents a fast, hygienic drying system, and does not depend on environmental conditions, so that the Dry Flow Rack is designed as an air circulation-based clothes dryer that accelerates the drying process evenly and efficiently, equipped with supporting features such as silica gel to absorb air humidity, humidity sensors to monitor and control automatic conditions, and ultraviolet (UV) light that maintains cleanliness and kills bacteria on clothes, so that the quality of the drying results is good and safe to use; in its design, the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is used as a systematic and structured approach to translate consumer needs and desires into product technical characteristics, with the analysis results showing that the main attributes prioritized are bacteria-inhibiting features and high absorption capacity, while the technical characteristics that are focused on include energy consumption efficiency, absorption capacity, ease and length of assembly time, so that the product is not only able to meet optimal consumer needs, but also has added value and good competitive potential in the market.
