Oral health and hygiene represent a fundamental pillar of general well-being, yet their effectiveness is often hindered by the hygiene issues associated with conventional manual toothbrushes This research aims to design an innovative smart toothbrush named ARMOR which integrates an automatic sterilization system and physical pressure protection to address these critical health concerns. The methodology follows the systematic Nigel Cross approach, consisting of seven functional development stages to bridge the gap between complex problems and technical solutions. Data collection involved distributing questionnaires to respondents, which were then processed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to determine criteria priority weights, alongside Quality Function Deployment (QFD) to transform the "voice of the customer" into accurate technical manufacturing specifications. The research results indicate that through the alternative generation phase using a morphological chart, Alternative 1 emerged as the optimal concept with the highest evaluation score of 4.5928 in the weighted objective analysis. The final ARMOR design successfully integrates UV-C light technology within the storage component for automated sterilization and a FSR sensor as a gum safety indicator. Furthermore, through the detailed refinement stage using a Value Engineering approach, material dimensions for the bamboo and transparent acrylic were optimized, successfully reducing production costs to a competitive Rp272,000 per unit without compromising core functionality. Consequently, this design provides a comprehensive, ergonomic, and economically viable solution in the personal healthcare market.
