Drinking water is a basic human need because a lack of fluids risks causing dehydration, leading to severe damage and even chronic kidney damage. Furthermore, air sterility from harmful microorganisms in drinking water also needs to be considered. The reason for this research was conducted to develop a smart drinking bottle designed as a solution to hydration and air cleanliness problems. The main product innovation lies in the UV-C light-based sterilization system, automatic hydration reminder feature, and the provision of a special space for additional nutritional intake. This research uses the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) methodology to bridge user expectations with technical specifications by applying the House of Quality matrix. The specified specifications include the use of stainless steel material, a volume capacity of 1000 ml, a height dimension of 30 cm, and support for a 2000 mAh battery. Based on the analysis of technical characteristics, it was found that the parameters of weight and durability were the aspects with the highest level of development difficulty, at 17.72% and 20.25%, respectively. Meanwhile, the variables of sterilization time and nutrient dosage accuracy were at a medium level of difficulty. The results of the importance analysis confirmed that all technical attributes were important, with the highest priority being the weight and thickness of the product. The estimated development cost of Tumb B is in the mid-range, indicating a balance between material quality and functionality. This research aims to address the low awareness of timely hydration and public concerns about air pollution, while simultaneously aligning market demand with a product design that addresses real user needs.
