Product design requires a method capable of systematically translating customer needs into technical spesifications. In product design of Sensebox, the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach is used to ensure that the attributes required by customers can be fulfilled through technical parameters. This study is conducted to define the technical characteristics of the Sensebox product based on customer needs using the QFD method. The stages employed include the identification of product attributes, determination of attribute importance levels, construction of the interaction matrix of product attributes and technical characteristics in the House of Quality (HoQ), identification of relationships among technical characteristics, and determination of difficulty level, degree of importance, and estimated cost. The results show that the product attributes in accordance with customer needs include size, material, weight, battery capacity, closure mechanism, shape, color, as well as additional features such as wireless monitoring, temperature and humidity sensors, and sterilization. The technical characteristics have varying levels of importance, where the coverage radius is categorized as less important, while product dimensions, system voltage, total mass, power endurance, container thickness, and internal volume are categorized as important. The level of difficulty is classified into two categories, namely moderately easy and very difficult, while the estimated cost is categorized into low and moderate levels. These results indicate that the QFD method is capable of systematically identifying the technical characteristics of the Sensebox product based on customer needs.
