Morphological growth of seedlings and stomatal density are indicators that must be achieved during the nursery period, in order to obtain strong seedlings that can produce optimal fresh fruit bunch production. The use of biostimulant fungi Dark Septate Endophyte (DSE) can be an alternative to support plant growth becauseit can increase the effectiveness of nutrient absorption and plant resistance. This study aims to obtain alternative organic materials to increase growth and stomataldensity, as well as to determine the best dose of DSE fungi in oil palm seedlings. This activity was carried out at the Rubber Research Unit, Sungei Putih, Galang from July to November 2025. This study was arranged in a Factorial Randomized Block Design with 3 replications. The first factor is the type of DSE fungi, namely C1 (KRPPT Isolate) and C2 (KMSTN Isolate). The second factor is the dose of DSE fungus, namely D0 (0 grams), D1 (2 grams/polybag), D2 (5 grams),D3 (7.5 grams), and D4 (10 grams. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and if a significant effect at the 5% level was found, it was continued with the DMRT test. The results showed that the administration of various types and doses of DSE fungi did not show a significant interaction on the morphological growth parametersand the number of stomata of oil palm seedlings at the age of 4 to 12 WAP. The type of fungus had a significant effect on the number of stomata with the highest value in the KRPPT isolate. The KRPPT isolate is a Dark Septate Endophyte (DSE) fungus characterized by rapid growth, enabling optimal root colonization and consequently improving leaf growth and physiological performance. Optimal leaf development is associated with better stomatal quality or density, so could be enhances overall plant growth.
