Abstract
This paper presents the implementation of a community service program in Siponjot Village, Lintong Nihuta District, Humbang Hasundutan Regency, North Sumatra, aimed at enhancing the resilience of residents in facing disaster risks. The program was initiated due to the frequent occurrence of flash floods and landslides in the area. The approach involved disaster mitigation outreach, participatory mapping training, and tree planting as a conservation measure. This program was carried out collaboratively between the service team, village officials, and local residents. During the implementation phase, several significant outcomes were achieved, including increased community understanding of land use planning, identification of disaster-prone areas, and the planting of 200 productive trees to reduce the risk of erosion and landslides. Additionally, the community began developing plans for sustainable land management based on participatory mapping results. This program has had a positive impact, as evidenced by the increased community awareness in managing the environment and their preparedness for disasters, supporting the village's ecological sustainability, and improving the well-being of local residents..
