Abstract
Kecamatan Bungursari menjadi daerah potensial perikanan air tawar di Kota Tasikmalaya akan tetapi balas usaha yang diterima yaitu harga jual ikan segar yang murah. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memfasilitasi potensi hilirisasi produk ikan air tawar melalui pelatihan pengolahan frozen food sehingga diharapkan terjadi peningkatan harga jual, mutu dan produksi ke depannya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada kelompok usaha pembudidaya ikan air tawar yang ada di Kec. Mangkubumi Kota Tasikmalaya. Kegiatan pengabdian pengolahan frozen food bagi pembudidaya ikan air disampaikan dengan metode penyuluhan dna focus group discussion telah berjalan dengan baik. Rekan-rekan petani antusias dari kegiatan ini dan memberikan respon yang baik terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. Kegiatan pengabdian mampu memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pengolahan khususnya dalam variasi produk ikan bagi petani. Evaluasi kegiatan menujukkan adanya perubahan pengetahuan dari aspek penanganan dan pemilihan ikan. Proses pembekuan dan pengemasan dengan ata-rata perubahan sebesar 43%.
Bungursari District is a potential area for freshwater fisheries in Tasikmalaya City, but they received cheap selling price of fresh fish. This service activity aims to facilitate the potential for downstreaming freshwater fish products through frozen food processing training so that it is hoped that there will be an increase in selling prices, quality and production in the future. This activity of frozen food processing was delivered using the extension method and focus group discussions which have gone well. Fellow farmers were enthusiastic about this activity and gave a good response to the implementation of this activity. Community service activities are able to provide increased processing skills, especially in the variety of fish products for farmers.
