Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi komunitas Muslim melalui pengembangan jejaring dan pelatihan. Pedagang kecil dan menengah memiliki peranan yang signifikan dalam perekonomian lokal, terutama dalam mempertahankan identitas budaya dan nilai-nilai agama. Di negara-negara dengan populasi Muslim yang besar, seperti Indonesia dan Thailand, pentingnya perdagangan halal semakin meningkat. Program ini mendukung Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) dengan fokus pada pengentasan kemiskinan dan penciptaan pekerjaan yang layak. Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan di Bangkok melibatkan sekitar 30 pedagang perempuan Muslim, terutama di sektor kuliner, dan berfokus pada strategi pemasaran modern serta inovasi produk. Selama program, pedagang diajarkan tentang penggunaan media sosial dan platform e-commerce untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar, serta teknik pengemasan yang menarik dan higienis. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan perubahan signifikan dalam persepsi pedagang tentang strategi bisnis, di mana mereka mulai mengadopsi metode pemasaran digital sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan daya saing. Selain itu, mereka juga memperoleh pengetahuan baru mengenai manajemen keuangan dan keterampilan pelayanan pelanggan. Program ini diharapkan dapat membangun jaringan perdagangan lintas negara yang kuat dan inklusif, mendukung kolaborasi antar pedagang Muslim, serta meningkatkan daya saing produk halal di pasar regional. Melalui program ini, diharapkan tercipta keberlanjutan ekonomi yang mengutamakan keragaman budaya dan memperkuat posisi pedagang kecil dan menengah dalam perekonomian.

This service activity aims to improve the economic welfare of the Muslim community through network development and training. Small and medium-sized traders have a significant role in the local economy, especially in maintaining cultural identity and religious values. In countries with large Muslim populations, such as Indonesia and Thailand, the importance of halal trade is increasing. The program supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a focus on poverty alleviation and decent job creation. The training conducted in Bangkok involved around 30 Muslim women traders, mainly in the culinary sector, and focused on modern marketing strategies and product innovation. During the program, traders were taught about using social media and e- commerce platforms to expand market reach, as well as attractive and hygienic packaging techniques. The results of the program showed a significant change in merchants' perceptions of business strategies, where they began to adopt digital marketing methods as a means to improve competitiveness. In addition, they also gained new knowledge on financial management and customer service skills. The program is expected to build a strong and inclusive cross-border trade network, support collaboration among Muslim traders, and improve the competitiveness of halal products in the regional market. Through this program, it is expected to create economic sustainability that prioritizes cultural diversity and strengthens the position of small and medium traders in the economy.
