Abstract
Lubuk Kasih Village has a rice field area of more than 65 Ha so it has the potential to become a rice producing area in Langkat Regency. Rice production in the village decreases with the use of chemical fertilizers because these fertilizers damage soil fertility. As a solution, farmers are starting to transition from inorganic farming to organic farming. To make it easier for farmers to provide organic fertilizer independently, the conventional method has been replaced with Smart Composter Technology where one composter unit produces around 240 kg of compost in 20 days with measurable maturity. The conventional method takes a minimum of 40 days with a level of maturity that is difficult to measure, so this Smart Composter is the right solution
