Abstract
This study aims to determine how the income level of poor people receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH) in
Silima Pungga Pungga District, Dairi Regency. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. At the
initial stage, validity and reliability testing was carried out. This is done because the data obtained in this study is
primary data through interviews, observations and filling out questionnaires. The population used in this study were all
PKH beneficiaries in SilimaPungga-Pungga District, Dairi Regency as many as 856 KPM PKH. Sampling using
purposive sampling technique, with an estimated error rate of 10%, and determining the number of samples using the
slovin formula so that the number of samples obtained was 89 KPM PKH respondents. The results showed that there
were real differences before and after the implementation of the Family Hope Program in SilimaPungga-Pungga
District. The implementation of the Family Hope Program has a positive impact, namely changes to the income level of
the poor.
