The Effect Of Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) On Poverty Reduction In Padang Bulan Sub-District, Medan City

Abstract

Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is the flagship program of the Ministry of Social Affairs to help overcome poverty through social protection. With PKH, it is hoped that it will be able to help overcome poverty. This study aims to describe the variables of the PKH and the variables of Poverty Reduction and analyze the effect of the PKH on Poverty Reduction in Padang Bulan Sub-District, Medan City. The type of research used is descriptive with mixed methods. The sample used in this study was a total sampling, namely the entire population of PKH Beneficiary Families in Padang Bulan Sub-District, which amounted to 63 respondents. This research data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to respondents and interviews with key informants. The results showed that the variables of the PKH had run very well or very effectively. Likewise, the variable of Poverty Reduction through the PKH is going very well. The results of a simple linear regression test also showed that there was a positive influence of the PKH on Poverty Reduction.
