The Effect of Rice Production, Consumption and Imports on Indonesia's National Income

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of rice production, consumption and imports on Indonesia's national income in 2013-2020 either partially or simultaneously. The type of research used is descriptive research method with a quantitative approach. The data used is in the form of time series data totaling 8 years. Data collection was carried out using secondary data in the form of annual reports from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kementan) and the World Bank. The data was processed using SPSS version 25 with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The results showed that Indonesia's rice production variable had a positive and significant effect on Indonesia's national income, rice consumption had a negative and insignificanteffect on Indonesia';s national income, rice imports had a negative and insignificant effect on Indonesia's national income. Meanwhile, simultaneously, the variables of rice production, rice consumption, and rice imports have asignificant effect on Indonesia's national income.
