Influence of Price, Number of Buyers and Sales Turnover on Shallot Traders’ Revenue In Post Covid-19 Pandemic at Lau Cih Central Market Medan

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of price, number of buyers, sales turnover and dummy variable before
and after COVID-19 pandemic for the revenue of shallot traders at the Lau Cih Central Market,
Kemenangan Tani District, Medan Tuntungan, Medan City, North Sumatra. Type of this research is
descriptive quantitative. The population used in this study were all shallot traders at the Lau Cih Central
Market in Medan, in total 34 traders. Sampling method of this research uses total sampling so that the
sample is the entire sum of the entire population. The research data was obtained from distributing
questionnaires to respondents. The results of the study show that the price variable has a positive and
significant effect on the shallot traders’ revenue at Lau Cih Medan Central Market, the number of buyers
has a positive and significant effect on the shallot traders’ revenue at Lau Cih Central Market Medan, Sales
turnover has a positive and significant effect on the shallot traders’ revenue at Lau Cih Central Market
Medan, Dummy before and after COVID-19 has a negative and significant effect on the shallot traders’
revenue at Lau Cih Central Market Medan. As well as price, number of buyers, sales turnover and dummy
before-after COVID-19 has a positive effect and significant on the shallot traders’ revenue at Lau Cih
Central Market in Medan.
