The Effect of The Family Hope Program on Community Welfare in Air Batu Sub-District, Asahan District

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is a conditional social assistance program for Poor Families (KM). The main mission of this program is to reduce poverty. This program has been running since 2007 and now the Family Hope Program has been implemented throughout Indonesia, one of which is in Air Batu District. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Family Hope Program on Community Welfare in Air Batu District. The type of research used in this study is associative quantitative. The data used in this study is primary data by distributing questionnaires to 91 respondents who are beneficiaries of the Family Hope Program(PKH) in Air Batu District. The variables used are the Family Hope Program in Health (X1), the Family Hope Program in Education (X2), and Community Welfare (Y). Data analysis used is a multiple linear regression model using statistical software called Eviews. The results of this study indicate that the Family Hope Program on Health and the Family Hope Program on Education simultaneously have a significant influence on Community Welfare in Air Batu District. In partially, the Family Hope Program on Health has no effect on Community Welfare, while the Family Hope Program on Education has a significant effect on Community Welfare.
