Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the factors that influence the ownership of employment social security in informal sector workers in the city of Medan. The independent variables in this study are income, education, tastes, beliefs. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative approach method. The sample in this study was 100 respondents who were divided into two categories: 50 had employment social security and 50 did not have employment social security. The analytical method used in this study is Binary Logistic Regression. The results of this study indicate that the variables income, education, tastes, beliefs have a positive and significant effect on employment social security for informal sector workers in Medan City. This is evidenced by the probability values of the four variables which are smaller than the significance test value of 0.05
