Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel urbanisasi, pendapatan perkapita dan industri manufaktur terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi di Sumatera Utara. Data yang digunakan adalah data time series tahun 2000-2017 yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik kota Medan (BPS kota Medan), dan ditunjang data pustaka. Untuk menganalisis hipotesis yaitu pengaruh urbanisasi, pendapatan perkapita, dan industri manufaktur terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Sumatera Utara, digunakan metode analisis Linier Berganda mengetahui pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikatnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa urbanisasi, pendapatan perkapita dan industri manufaktur berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, yang artinya apabila jumlah urbanisasi naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan mengalami penurunan sebesar 1%. Apabila pendapatan perkapita naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan meningkat sebesar 2%. Apabila industrei manufaktur naik sebesar 1% maka pertumbuhan ekonomi akan meningkat sebesar 1.5%.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of urbanization variables, per capita income and the manufacturing industry on economic growth in North Sumatra. The data used is time series data for 2000-2017 sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics for the city of Medan (BPS for the city of Medan), and is supported by library data. To analyze the hypothesis, namely the effect of urbanization, per capita income, and the manufacturing industry on economic growth in North Sumatra, the Multiple Linear analysis method is used to determine the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that urbanization, per capita income and the manufacturing industry have an effect on economic growth, which means that if the amount of urbanization increases by 1%, economic growth will decrease by 1%. If per capita income increases by 1%, economic growth will increase by 2%. If the manufacturing industry increases by 1% then economic growth will increase by 1.5%.
