Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh laju pertumbuhan sektor industri, investasi, dan upah minimum provinsi terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder yang berupa data time series dengan periode pengamatan 1998-2017 yang bersumber dari Badan Pusat Statistik Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Ordinary Least Square (OLS). Hasil estimasi OLS menunjukkan bahwa variabel pertumbuhan sektor industri berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara, variabel investasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara. Sedangkan untuk variabel upah minimum provinsi tidak memiliki pengaruh terhadap penyerapan tenaga kerja sektor industri provinsi Sumatera Utara.
This study aims to analyze the effect of the growth rate of the industrial sector, investment, and the provincial minimum wage on employment in the industrial sector of North Sumatra province. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of time series data with the observation period 1998-2017 sourced from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra Province. The analytical method used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The OLS estimation results show that the growth variable in the industrial sector has a negative and significant effect on employment in the industrial sector of North Sumatra province, the investment variable has a positive and significant effect on employment in the industrial sector in North Sumatra province. Meanwhile, the provincial minimum wage variable has no effect on employment in the industrial sector of North Sumatra province.
