Abstract
Fisioterapis mempunyai prioritas dalam mengambil langkah-langkah dalam pelayanan kesehatan dengan mempertimbangkan berbagai aspek terkait infeksi COVID-19, sehingga perlu pemahaman yang baik mengenai pandemi virus ini. Sayangnya tidak semua fisioterapi mempunyai pemahaman yang sama, kemungkinan karena keterbatasan waktu dan fasilitas dalam mengakses informasi tersebut. Sebagai solusinya, tim Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Skim Dosen Mengabdi USU tahun 2020 memberikan materi dan pelatihan terhadap 25 orang fisioterapis, bertempat di Klinik Fisioterapi Siti Hajar Medan, terdiri dari aspek mikrobiologi infeksi COVID-19 dan dampak klinis terutama di sistem pernafasan serta pelatihan memakai dan melepaskan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) dengan benar sehingga fisioterapis dapat memberikan pelayanan fisioterapi yang aman bagi dirinya dan pasien. Evaluasi terhadap tingkat pemahaman peserta pelatihan dinilai cukup baik berdasarkan hasil dari pre dan post test yang diberikan.
Physiotherapist should have a priority procedures in giving health service by considering various aspects related to COVID-19 infection, so they require good knowledge of this viral pandemic. Unfortunately, not all physiotherapists have the same understanding, possibly because of limited time and facilities in accessing this information. As a solution, the 2020 Dedicated Lecturer Skim Community Service Program provided material and training to 25 physiotherapists, at the Siti Hajar Physiotherapy Clinic in Medan, consisting of aspects of the microbiology of COVID-19 infection and clinical impacts, especially in the respiratory system as well as training on wearing and releasing. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) properly so that the physiotherapist can provide safe physiotherapy services for himself and the patient. Level of understanding’s evaluation result of the training participants is considered quite good based on the results of the pre and post test.
