Abstract
Isu tentang kesetaraan gender memang tidak ada habisnya untuk diperbincangkan. Di era modern seperti sekarang ini dimana setiap manusia dipandang memiliki derajat yang sama, faktanya status manusia masih dibedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin yang dimilikinya. Perempuan masih disebut sebagai pihak kedua (bawahan) setelah laki-laki. Penelitian ini akan mengamati peran dan posisi perempuan dan batik yang dikaitkan dengan ekofeminisme. Dilanjutkan dengan observasi gaya hidup Mbokmase Laweyan, dan observasi sosial budaya masyarakat Laweyan melalui cerita rakyat. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Data dalam penelitian ini terbagi menjadi dua, yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer berupa data visual, narasi dalam cerita rakyat lisan di Laweyan. Data sekunder berupa buku, artikel, jurnal dan dokumen yang berhubungan dengan tema penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi perempuan dalam kegiatan ekonomi, khususnya praktik perdagangan, tidak dapat diabaikan dan telah terbukti. Perempuan telah berhasil membuktikan bahwa kontribusinya dalam kegiatan ekonomi, khususnya sebagai pedagang, telah berhasil mempengaruhi kondisi kesejahteraan keluarga.
The issue about gender equality is never ending to be discussed. In modern era like today where every human being is seen as having the same degree, the fact is that human status is still differentiated based on the gender they have. Women are still referred to as the second party (subordinate) after men. This research will observe the roles and positions of women and batik which are associated with ecofeminism. Followed by observations on Mbokmase Laweyan's life style, and sociocultural observations of the Laweyan community through folklore. The form of this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this research are divided into two, namely primary data and secondary data. Primary data in the form of visual data, narratives in oral folklore in Laweyan. Secondary data in the form of books, articles, journals and documents related to the research theme. The results of the research indicate that the contribution of women in economic activities, especially trade practices, cannot be ignored and has been proven. Women have succeeded in proving that their contribution to economic activities, especially as traders, has succeeded in influencing the condition of family welfare.
