Tradisi Lisan Hoho Siöligö Dalam Upaya Menumbuhkan Semangat Patriotisme: Analisis Teks

Abstract

Hoho Siöligö dalam rangka upacara adat pengukuhan bangsawan di Desa Bawömataluo, Kecamatan Fanayama, Kabupaten Nias Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Digunakan sebagai media untuk menyampaikan ide, pikiran atau perasaan dalam upaya memahami nilai-nilai yang memberikan wawasan budaya. Keberadaan unsur bahasa (teks), unsur musik (musik vokal), dan unsur gerak (tari), menjadi kajian utama penelitian ini dalam melihat fungsi, makna teks, dari Hoho Siöligö. Pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah pendekatan interdisipliner dengan metode investigasi kualitatif yang bertumpu pada investigasi lapangan.Beberapa teori yang digunakan untuk mendukung penelitian ini antara lain teori fungsional, teori semiotika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Hoho Siöligö memegang peranan penting karena fungsi yang diembannya. Fungsi-fungsi tersebut adalah fungsi penyelenggaraan pesta adat, fungsi sebagai simbol kekuatan, fungsi penguatan status sosial, fungsi perekat kehidupan masyarakat, fungsi komunikasi dan penyampaian pesan, fungsi nilai estetika, fungsi fungsi hiburan dan syukuran, fungsi pengiring gerak tari, dan fungsi lainnya. sebagai pertahanan budaya. Analisis teks menunjukkan bahwa terdapat makna konotatif dari teks Hoho Siöligö, yaitu menjalin persatuan dan kesatuan untuk kemakmuran desa.dan betapa kuatnya masyarakat Nias bila bersatu untuk mempertahankan warisan leluhurnya, menumbuhkan semangat patriotisme dan rasa bangga terhadap desanya. Secara musikal Hoho Siöligö memiliki gaya respon panggilan, dan menggunakan teknik vokal yang khas dalam penyajiannya, yaitu “gözö” atau menggetarkan pangkal lidah di daerah tenggorokan.

These functions are the function of the implementation of traditional parties, the function as a symbol of strength, the function of strengthening social status, the function of the glue of community life, the function of communication and message delivery, the function of aesthetic values, the function of entertainment and thanksgiving, the function of accompanying dance movements, and other functions. as a cultural defense. Text analysis shows that there is a connotative meaning of the Hoho Siöligö text, namely to establish unity and unity for the prosperity of the villageand how strong the Nias people are when united to defend their ancestral heritage, fostering a spirit of patriotism and a sense of pride in their village. Musically Hoho Siöligö has a call response style, and uses a distinctive vocal technique in its presentation, namely “gözö” or vibrating the base of the tongue in the throat area.
