Abstract
Makalah ini merupakan tulisan konseptual terkait neurolinguistik dan hubungannya dengan rekayasa bahasa serta pembentukan karakter. Neurolinguitik sebagai bagian dari linguistik interdisipliner erat kaitannya dengan rekayasa bahasa, karena rekayasa merupakan strategi berpikir individual yang mempengaruhi sosial. Melalui rekayasa bahasa akan lahir individu yang berkarakter sesuai dengan efek dari rekayasa bahasa, baik rekayasa bahasa positif maupun negatif. Akhir proses berbahasa adalah menyoal tentang karakter atau kepribadian seorang individu ketika mengungkapkan dirinya dalam kehidupan bersosial atau bermasyarakat (rekayasa sosial). Secara individu tentu ia akan merekayasa bahasa dalam dirinya secara neurologis dan psikologis sehingga keberterimaannya dalam kehidupan sosial dipandang positif karena kecerdasannya merekayasa bahasa. Ada tiga proses mental yang dilalui seorang dalam merekayasa bahasa yaitu komprehensi, produksi, dan bioneurologis. Ketiga proses mental tersebut dapat direalisasikan melalui konsep pengajaran bahasa melalui Lider-lis (lihat, dengar, tulis), Fira-lis (fikir, rasa, tulis), dan Menudas (membaca, menulis, cerdas). Selain itu, antara neurolinguistik, rekayasa bahasa, dan pembentukan karakter adalah pilar yang harus dilalui melalui pembelajaran bahasa sejak dari dalam kandungan sampai usia pubertas. Antara neurolinguistik, rekayasa bahasa, dan karakter, diproses melalui jalur pendidikan dan pengajaran (bahasa) mulai dari keluarga hingga lingkungan sekolah terutama prasekolah dan pendidikan dasar, dan yang terpenting adalah peran pemerintah sebagai penentu kebijakan. Di usia prasekolah dan pendidikan dasarlah karakter terbentuk sehingga menjadi kepribadian.
This paper is a conceptual paper related to neurolinguistics and its relationship to language engineering and character building. Neurolinguistics as part of interdisciplinary linguistics is closely related to language engineering, because engineering is an individual thinking strategy that affects socially. Through language engineering, individuals with character will be born according to the effects of language engineering, both positive and negative language engineering. The end of the language process is to question the character or personality of an individual when expressing himself in social life or society (social engineering). Individually, of course, he will engineer the language in himself neurologically and psychologically so that his acceptance in social life is seen as positive because his intelligence manipulates language. There are three mental processes that a person goes through in engineering language, namely comprehension, production, and bioneurology. These three mental processes can be realized through the concept of language teaching through Lider-lis (see, hear, write), Fira-lis (think, feel, write), and Menudas (read, write, be intelligent). In addition, between neurolinguistics, language engineering, and character building are pillars that must be passed through language learning from the womb until puberty. Between neurolinguistics, language engineering, and character, it is processed through education and teaching (language) pathways starting from the family to the school environment, especially preschool and basic education, and the most important is the role of the government as a policy maker. It is in preschool and basic education that character is formed so that it becomes a personality.
