Abstract

Mesin Sterilizer memiliki peran penting dalam proses produksi minyak kelapa sawit, sehingga efektivitas operasionalnya sangat memengaruhi pencapaian target produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat efektivitas mesin Sterilizer pada proses produksi minyak kelapa sawit di PT XYZ menggunakan metode Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE). Metode OEE digunakan untuk mengukur performa mesin berdasarkan tiga komponen utama: Availability, Performance, dan Quality. Data operasional mesin Sterilizer 1 selama bulan Juni 2024 dianalisis untuk menghitung nilai OEE, yang selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan standar OEE kelas dunia. Hasil analisis menunjukkan nilai rata-rata OEE sebesar 25,41%, jauh di bawah standar internasional sebesar 85%, dengan nilai Availability 68,81%, Performance 37,09%, dan Quality 100%. Penyebab utama rendahnya OEE diidentifikasi melalui diagram fishbone, yang menunjukkan masalah pada faktor manusia, metode kerja, mesin, dan material. Beberapa akar masalah yang ditemukan meliputi kelelahan operator, proses kerja manual, mutu material yang rendah, serta kurangnya pengawasan dan perawatan mesin. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dilakukan analisis menggunakan diagram afinitas guna merumuskan solusi yang mencakup peningkatan pengawasan, penjadwalan istirahat operator, optimalisasi proses pemuatan bahan baku, serta pemeliharaan mesin secara berkala. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa peningkatan efektivitas mesin Sterilizer memerlukan pendekatan terpadu antara manajemen teknis dan sumber daya manusia.

The Sterilizer machine plays a crucial role in the palm oil production process; therefore, its operational effectiveness significantly affects the achievement of production targets. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness level of the Sterilizer machine in the palm oil production process at PT XYZ using the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method. The OEE method is used to measure machine performance based on three main components: Availability, Performance, and Quality. Operational data from Sterilizer 1 during June 2024 was analyzed to calculate the OEE value, which was then compared with the world-class OEE standard. The analysis results showed an average OEE value of 25.41%, far below the international standard of 85%, with an Availability of 68.81%, Performance of 37.09%, and Quality of 100%. The main causes of the low OEE were identified through a fishbone diagram, which revealed issues related to human factors, work methods, machinery, and materials. Root causes included operator fatigue, manual work processes, poor material quality, and lack of supervision and machine maintenance. To address these problems, an affinity diagram was used to formulate solutions such as enhanced supervision, scheduled operator breaks, optimization of raw material loading processes, and periodic machine maintenance. This study concludes that improving the effectiveness of the Sterilizer machine requires an integrated approach involving both technical management and human resource strategies.
