Abstract
Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are prevalent issues in the food processing industry, primarily due to repetitive physical activities and non-ergonomic work postures. This study was conducted in the Grain Division of PT Dua Kelinci to assess the work postures of employees involved in flour preparation, utilizing the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method. Data were gathered through direct observation, documentation of work postures, and body angle analysis using Kinovea and Ergofellow software. The analysis results indicated that the workers' postures exhibited a high to very high risk level, with REBA scores ranging from 9 to 11. Worker 1 received a REBA score of 9, Worker 4 scored 10, while Workers 2 and 3 both scored 11. The highest scores were noted in the upper arm, torso, and wrist regions due to activities involving bending, reaching, and repetitive lifting. To address these issues, a karakuri concept trolley was designed to alleviate physical strain, enhance work ergonomics, and reduce the risk of MSDs. This design aims to improve workplace comfort and safety, support operational efficiency, and positively impact productivity and the sustainability of work processes within the company.
