Abstract
Total biaya perancangan produk Cleaning Box 3 in 1 sebesar Rp 812.000,-.
Early childhood is still less disciplined in washing hands, especially in the school environment, so it is at high risk of exposure to disease. Washing hands with soap is an important step to eliminate germs and prevent the spread of disease. For this reason, the Cleaning Box 3 in 1 product is designed to help elementary school children wash their hands independently and hygienically without direct contact, combining hand washing, soap, and dryer features in one tool. The design of this product uses the Nigel Cross method which includes seven stages: clarifying goals, determining functions, compiling needs, determining characteristics, generating alternatives, evaluating alternatives, and developing designs. The final result shows the characteristics of a product measuring 70 cm × 30 cm × 40 cm, made of yellow plastic, equipped with an automatic water and soap tap at the bottom, a dryer on the right side, a mirror as a decorative element, LED lights for lighting, and a tissue box. A tree diagram of goals, black boxes, and product limitations were also compiled to support the design. The results of the compilation of needs show 9 wish attributes and 1 demand attribute. Of the three design alternatives developed, the selected alternative proved to be the most stable. The total cost of designing the 3 in 1 Cleaning Box product is IDR 812,000.
