Abstract
Perancangan fasilitas mempunyai peran utama dalam manufaktur. Perancangan yang optimal memastikan pengangkutan material yang efisien, menjadikan penyesuaian fasilitas dengan kebutuhan produksi suatu hal yang harus diperhatikan. PT. X, sebuah pabrik produksi tahu, menghadapi beberapa permasalahan. Observasi menunjukkan adanya backtracking di bagian manufaktur dan pengemasan serta bypassing di bagian manufaktur yang harus melewati area penjualan untuk mencapai gudang, hanya tersedia satu pintu masuk di area penjualan. Beberapa stasiun juga terletak berjauhan, dengan jaur terjauh dari bagian manufaktur ke penggorengan sejauh 34 meter. Efisiensi aliran pada tata letak saat ini hanya sebesar 63%, di bawah standar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meminimalkan jarak perpindahan bahan, meningkatkan efisiensi lini, dan memperbaiki OMH. Metode yang digunakan meliputi from-to chart, activity relationship chart, dan UA FLP untuk memperbaiki tata letak pabrik. From-to chart dipakai untuk mengidentifikasi berat pengangkutan material, sedangkan ARC dipakai untuk mengukur tingkat keterkaitan, dan UA FLP merancang layout yang disarankan. Pembaharuan tata letak yang direncanakan dari UA FLP dijalankan sebanyak lima kali untuk melihat best solution terendah, kemudian nanti untuk di rancang tiga alternative layout yang akan dipilih berdasarkan jarak lintasan terpendek. Total perpindahan bahan yang sebelumnya berjarak 210,11 meter berkurang menjadi 140,86 meter pada tata letak yang diusulkan. Efisiensi aliran meningkat menjadi 75,4%. Biaya penanganan material yang semula Rp. 9.261.581 turun menjadi Rp. 6.342.632 setelah dilakukan usulan tata letak.
Facility design has a major role in manufacturing. Optimal design ensures efficient transportation of materials, making adapting facilities to production needs something that must be considered. PT. X, a tofu production factory, is facing several problems. Observations showed that there was backtracking in the manufacturing and packaging section as well as bypassing in the manufacturing section which had to pass through the sales area to reach the warehouse, only one entrance was available in the sales area. Some stations are also located far apart, with the furthest distance from the manufacturing section to the frying pan being 34 meters. Flow efficiency on the current layout is only 63%, below standard. This research aims to minimize material movement distance, increase line efficiency, and improve OMH. The methods used include from-to charts, activity relationship charts, and UA FLP to improve factory layout. From-to charts are used to identify the weight of material transportation, while ARC is used to measure the level of connection, and UA FLP designs the recommended layout. Updates to the planned layout of the UA FLP were carried out five times to see the lowest best solution, then later three alternative layouts were designed which would be selected based on the shortest path distance. The total material movement which was previously 210.11 meters was reduced to 140.86 meters in the proposed layout. Flow efficiency increased to 75.4%. Material handling costs were originally Rp. 9,261,581 decreased to Rp. 6,342,632 after the layout proposal was carried out.
