Abstract

Cermin mulut merupakan sebuah alat diagnostik rongga mulut yang digunakan dalam kedokteran gigi, khususnya oleh dokter gigi untuk melihat kondisi rongga mulut pasien. Dokter gigi seringkali menyesuaikan tubuhnya untuk dapat melihat permukaan gigi yang tidak terlihat dan menimbulkan rasa tidak nyaman bagi dokter karena tidak ergonomis. Oleh karena itu, produk Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper dirancang agar pengguna merasa nyaman dan praktis saat memakainya. Metode yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui harapan konsumen atau responden yaitu memakai metode survei pasar. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mendapatkan informasi kebutuhan pasar Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper. Survei Pasar dilakukan dengan membagikan kuesioner terbuka dan kuesioner tertutup kepada responden, responden yang dimaksud ialah dokter gigi dan perawat di Rumah Sakit Gigi dan Mulut USU. Hasil survei pasar atribut produk Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper yaitu memiliki inovasi lampu LED di sekeliling kaca, memakai karet pelindung karet silikon pada pinggiran kaca, dan memiliki spatula pada sisi yang berlawanan dengan kaca. Data hasil survei pasar atribut produk Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper menunjukkan semua data yang diambil adalah valid dan reliable.

Mouth mirror is an oral cavity diagnostic tool used in dentistry, especially by dentists to see the condition of the patient's oral cavity. Dentists often adjust their bodies to be able to see the surface of the teeth which are not visible and cause discomfort for the doctor because they are not ergonomic. The method used to determine the expectations of consumers or respondents is to use the market survey method. This research was conducted to obtain information on the market needs of Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper. The market survey was conducted by distributing open and closed questionnaires to respondents, the respondents in question were dentists and nurses at the USU Oral and Dental Hospital. The results of a market survey on the attributes of the Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper product are having innovative LED lights around the glass, using silicone rubber protective rubber on the edges of the glass, and having a spatula on the side facing the glass. Market survey data on the attributes of the Mouth Mirror with Shield Bumper product show that all data taken is valid and reliable.
