Penerapan Metode Brainstorming pada Pembuatan Alat Bantal Duduk Relaksasi Menggunakan Alat Pijat Penggetar dan Heat Pack

Abstract

Nyeri merupakan masalah utama pada populasi panti jompo, dengan prevalensi 27% sampai 84%. Rasa sakit yang tidak diobati mempengaruhi fungsi emosional, sosial dan fisik seseorang, serta kualitas hidup mereka. Mayoritas panti jompo mengalami nyeri tanpa pengobatan yang efektif. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, Penulis menginovasikan sebuah alas duduk dengan penambahan alat pemijat dan alat penghangat pada alas duduk tersebut. Pendekatan brainstorming, metodologi kreativitas yang bertujuan untuk menemukan solusi dari suatu masalah tertentu dengan mengumpulkan ide-ide secara spontan dari anggota kelompok, digunakan untuk melakukan proses desain produk. Hasil dari sesi brainstorming selama 20-30 menit digunakan untuk menghasilkan ide untuk merancang produk relaksasi mata. Hasil akhir yang dibuat dengan pendekatan brainstroming memuat sepuluh karakteristik, diantaranya hitam, bahan baku berupa busa rebounded density 90, memiliki dimensi 50 x 35 x 6 (cm), sumber daya berasal dari baterai, memiliki berat sebesar 1,5 kg, bentuk menyerupai huruf m, dan bahan dari sarung bantalnya adalah polyester. Produk ini ditujukan kepada para lansia yang sering mengalami nyeri otot/ keluhan muskuloskeletal akibat kegiatan duduk yang terlalu lama.

A prominent issue for residents of nursing homes is pain, which they report experiencing 27% to 84% of the time. A person's quality of life and emotional, social, and physical functioning are all impacted by untreated pain. The majority of nursing homes experience pain without effective treatment. Based on the problems above, the author innovates a cushion by adding massagers and heating devices to the cushion. The product design process is carried out using the brainstorming method where the brainstorming method is a creative technique that attempts to find solutions to specific problems by spontaneously gathering ideas  from group members.  The ideas in designing eye relaxation products were obtained from the results of brainstorming activities that were carried out for 20-30 minutes. The final product of design using the brainstorming method is that there are 10 attributes, namely black in color, the raw material is rebounded density 90 foam, has dimensions of 50 x 35 x 6 (cm), the power source comes from the battery, has a weight of 1.5 kg, the shape resembles the letter m, and the material of the pillowcase is polyester. This product is aimed at the elderly who often experience muscle pain/musculoskeletal complaints due to prolonged sitting activities.
