Abstract
Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara penghasil kakao terbesar ketiga setelah Pantai Gading dan Ghana. Perkebunan kakao di Indonesia mengalami perkembangan pesat. Perkebunan tesebut Sebagian besar (87,4 %) dikelola oleh rakyat dan selebihnya (6,0 %) dikelola oleh perusahaan besar negara serta 6,7 % dikelola oleh perkebunan swasta. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan adalah untuk mengkaji kinerja alat pengering kakao yang banyak digunakan oleh para petani kakao. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quality Function Depeloyment Fase II menggunakan data yang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil literatur review dan wawancara terhadap para petani kakao. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan Part Kritis yang menjadi Tingkat Kesulitan dan Drajat Kepentingandengan nilai tertinggi yaitu Harga Mesin Pengering dengan nilai 5 dan peresentase sebesar 23.3 % dan Bobot Mesin Pengering dengan nilai 3 dan presentase sebesar 21.3% sedangkan yang terendah yaitu Umur Mesin Pengering dengan nilai 2 dengan presentase 9.1 %
Indonesia is one of the third largest cocoa producing countries after Ivory Coast and Ghana. Cocoa plantations in Indonesia are experiencing rapid development. Most of these plantations (87.4%) are managed by the people and the rest (6.0%) are managed by large state companies and 6.7% are managed by private plantations. The purpose of this study was to examine the performance of cocoa dryers which are widely used by cocoa farmers. In this study using the Quality Function Deployment Phase II method using data obtained based on the results of literature reviews and interviews with cocoa farmers. The results of this study indicate that the Critical Part which is the Level of Difficulty and Degree of Interest with the highest value is the Price of the Drying Machine with a value of 5 and a percentage of 23.3% and the Weight of the Drying Machine with a value of 3 and a percentage of 21.3%, while the lowest is the Age of the Drying Machine with a value of 2 with a percentage of 9.1%.
