Perancangan dan Pengembangan Produk Alat Penyangrai dan Penggiling Kopi Otomatis

Abstract

Dalam industri pengolahan kopi dibutuhkan sebuah alat penyangrai dan penggiling kopi untuk mengolah kopi tersebut. Dewasa ini, telah tersedia alat untuk menyangrai dan menggiling kopi yang memiliki kelebihan dari segi bentuk dan pemakaian yang lebih praktis. Di sisi lain, alat tersebut juga memiliki kekurangan, yaitu dari segi daya yang dibutuhkan sangat tinggi, hanya mampu menampung kopi di bawah satu kilogram, harga yang relatif mahal, dan penyangrai dan penggiling yang masih terpisah. Melalui permasalahan tersebut, muncul ide untuk merancang AFTER: Automatic Coffee Roaster And Grinder yaitu sebuah alat penyangrai dan penggiling kopi otomatis. AFTER: Automatic Coffee Roaster And Grinder adalah alat penyangrai dan penggiling kopi otomatis yang terdiri dari satu wadah berbentuk tabung dimana proses penyangrai dan penggilingan terjadi secara berurutan. Pada AFTER: Automatic Coffee Roaster And Grinder juga menggunakan sensor suhu untuk mendeteksi suhu pada proses penyangrai dan sensor bunyi untuk memberitahu bahwa proses yang terjadi telah selesai. Alat ini dirancang dengan metode brainstorming. Brainstorming merupakan metode untuk menghasilkan pertanyaan kreatif dengan memicu anggota kelompok untuk meninggalkan ide-ide mereka sembari mengabaikan kritik atau penilaian. Pada metode ini pendekatan secara informal untuk memecahkan masalah dengan pemikiran lateral. Dengan metode ini diharapkan dapat menghasilkan produk yang sekiranya akan berguna untuk para pelaku usaha kopi di Indonesia.
