Abstract
Penduduk lokal dapat terkena dampak positif dari perkembangan pariwisata seperti penciptaan lapangan kerja, peningkatan aktivitas ekonomi dan peningkatan pelayanan sosial dan sebaliknya dapat berdampak negatif karena tekanan atau kerusakan sumber daya dan nilai budaya lokal. Isu kepuasan lokal merupakan salah satu indikator pembangunan pariwisata berkelanjutan yang ditetapkan oleh World Tourism Organization (WTO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memantau kepuasan masyarakat lokal terhadap Kegiatan Pariwisata di Kecamatan Simanindo Kabupaten Samosir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode campuran kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan menganalisis data yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan data instansi serta wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat lokal di kecamatan Simanindo puas dengan kehadiran pariwisata dilingkungannya, aktifitas pariwisata di Kecamatan Simanindo telah memberikan keuntungan bagi masyarakat lokal dari terciptanya lapangan pekerjaan dan memudahkan masyarakat lokal mendapatkan pelayanan serta membantu menstimulasi budaya dan kesenian lokal.
The local population can be positively affected by tourism developments such as job creation, increased economic activity and improved social services and vice versa can have a negative impact due to pressure or damage to local resources and cultural values. The issue of local satisfaction is one of the indicators of sustainable tourism development established by the World Tourism Organization (WTO). This study aims to monitor local community satisfaction with tourism activities in Simanindo District, Samosir Regency. This study used a mixed method of quantitative and qualitative by analyzing data collected through questionnaires and agency data as well as interviews. The results showed that local communities in Simanindo sub-district were satisfied with the presence of tourism in their environment, tourism activities in Simanindo District had provided benefits for local communities from creating jobs and made it easier for local people to get services and help stimulate local culture and arts.
