Penerapan Arsitektur Islam pada Perancangan Islamic Center di Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Deli Serdang merupakan salah satu daerah yang berada di Sumatera Utara yang memiliki jumlah penduduk terbanyak kedua setelah kota Medan. Dengan banyaknya jumlah penduduk dengan mayoritas penganut Agama Islam, maka dibutuhkan wadah pengembangan untuk masyarakat muslim di Deli Serdang dalam men-Syiarkan kebudayaan dan syariat-syariat agama Islam terhadap sesama muslim. Wadah tersebut dinamakan Islamic Center yaitu pusat kegiatan Islam yang terdiri dari masjid sebagai tempat ibadah masyarakat muslim dan fasilitas pendukung lainnya seperti pesantren Tahfidz, Aula bersama, sebagai wadah pengembangan kegiatan maupun kebudayaan Islam itu sendiri. Dalam mewujudkan Islamic center yang komunikatif terhadap masyarakat muslim dan lingkungan sekitar maka diperlukan pendekatan yang mendukung yaitu penerapan konsep Arsitektur Islam. Arsitektur Islam merupakan pendekatan yang memerhatikan bentuk, langgam, histori maupun nila-nilai Islam dalam proses perancangan maupun pembangunan Islamic Center ini. Untuk mewujudkan perancangan ini maka dilakukan metode perancangan yaitu studi pustaka dan analisa terhadap proses perancangan.

Deli Serdang is one of the areas in North Sumatra which has the second largest population after Medan. With the large number of people with the majority of followers of Islam, a development platform for the Muslim community in Deli Serdang is needed in broadcasting the culture and Islamic religious law to fellow Muslims. The container is called the Islamic Center, which is a center for Islamic activities consisting of a mosque as a place of worship for the Muslim community and other supporting facilities such as the Tahfidz Islamic boarding school, the joint hall, as a forum for the development of Islamic activities and culture itself. In realizing an Islamic center that is communicative to the Muslim community and the surrounding environment, a supportive approach is needed, namely the application of the concept of Islamic architecture. Islamic architecture is an approach that takes into account the form, style, history and values ​​of Islam in the process of designing and building this Islamic Center. To achieve this design, a design method is carried out, namely literature study and analysis of the design process.
