Perancangan Wrist Support Eating Tools Dengan Metode Brainstorming Untuk Orang Penderita Parkinson

Abstract

Salah satu penyakit yang menyerang saraf terbanyak adalah Parkinson, yang banyak menyerang manula namun pada beberapa kasus telah ditemui pada umur 30 tahun. Ciri-ciri awal penyakit Parkinson ini ditandai oleh gejala motorik dominan berupa tremor pada saat istirahat, rigiditas, bradikinesia, dan hilangnya refleks postural tubuh. Tremor biasanya terjadi pada tangan yang menyulitkan penderita pada saat makan. Oleh karena itu diperlukan sebuah alat untuk membantu penderita untuk makan. Pada penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah alat bantu makan mandiri yang dinamakan dengan Wrist Support Eating Tools bagi penderita Parkinson. Wrist Support Eating Tools adalah alat bantu makan yang dibuat untuk membantu para penderita Parkinson, karena alat ini bisa membantu mengurangi rasa tremor tangan pada penderita Parkinson tersebut. Dalam proses pembuatan desain produk Wrist Support Eating Tools, pertama-tama menggunakan metode Brainstorming yang berguna untuk menentukan kegunaan dari produk yang akan dibuat, dan menarik kesimpulan yang telah terkumpul dari hasil diskusi antar anggota kelompok. Metode brainstorming bertujuan untuk memperoleh ide-ide dari setiap anggota kelompok yang merupakan tahap awal pada saat pendeasainan maupun pengembangan suatu produk dengan cepat dan efisien. Mind Map adalah sebuah pola penulisan pemikiran yang kreatif dan efektif.

One of the diseases that attack the most nerves is Parkinson's, which affects the elderly but in some cases has been found at the age of 30 years. The early characteristics of Parkinson's disease are symptoms by dominant motor symptoms in the form of tremor at rest, stiffness, bradykinesia, and presentation of body reflexes. Tremors usually occur in the hands which make it difficult for sufferers to eat. Therefore we need a tool to help sufferers to eat. In this study, the aim of this research is to design a self-contained feeding aid called the Wrist Support Dinnerware for Parkinson's sufferers. Wrist Support Eating Tools are eating aids designed to help people with Parkinson's, because this tool can help reduce the feeling of hand tremors in those with Parkinson's. In the process of making the Wrist Support Eating Tools design, first use the Brainstorming method which is useful to help with the products to be made, and draws that have been gathered from the results of discussions between group members. The brainstorming method aims to get ideas from each member of the group which is the initial stage of designing or developing a product quickly and efficiently. Mind map is a creative and effective thought writing pattern.
