Analisis Postur Kerja Analis Laboratorium menggunakan Metode Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA)

Abstract

PT XYZ adalah sebuah pabrik yang bergerak pada bidang pengolahan minyak kelapa sawit (crude palm oil) menjadi produk turunannya melalui proses refinery dan fractionation dengan kapasitas 2000 ton per hari. Produk yang dihasilkan ialah Refined Bleached Deodorized Olein (RBDOL) dan Refined Bleached Deodorized Stearin (RBDST) sebagai produk utama,Refined Bleached Deodorized Palm Oil (RBDPO) serta Palm Fatty Acid Destilate (PFAD) sebagai produk sampingan. Setiap hari, sebelum bahan baku diproses, bahan baku terlebih dahulu dicek kualitasnya sesuai dengan parameter – parameter yang telah ditetapkan di laboratorium oleh seorang analis. Kemudian, setelah bahan baku melalui proses produksi, analis harus melakukan pengecekan kembali terhadap kualitas sample bahan baku yang sudah diproses setiap satu jam sekali sepanjang proses produksi demi menjaga kualitas produk yang akan dihasilkan agar tetap sesuai dengan parameter yang telah ditetapkan. Permasalahan yang terjadi adalah dalam melakukan kegiatan pengecekan kualitas sample, analis menghasilkan beberapa postur kerja yang tidak ergonomis dan memiliki resiko cedera muskuloskeletal. Untuk itu dilakukan analisis menggunakan metode Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) untuk menilai postur kerja yang dilakukan dan pengisian kuesioner Standard Nordic Questionnaire (SNQ)  untuk mengetahui tubuh bagian mana yang mengalami keluhan rasa sakit, serta memberikan usulan perbaikan. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan untuk permasalahan ini yaitu perbaikan postur tubuh saat bekerja, penggunaan kursi yang ergonomis dan penggunaan meja adjustable.

Every day, before raw materials are being processed, raw materials are first checked for quality according to the parameters set in the laboratory by an analyst. Then, after the raw materials go through the production process, the analyst must double check the quality of the raw material samples that are placed once every hour throughout the production process in order to maintain the quality of the product to be produced in accordance with the predetermined parameters. The problem that occurs is that in checking the quality of the sample, the analyst produces several work postures that are not ergonomic and have musculoskeletal injuries. For this reason, an analysis was carried out using the Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULA) method to assess the work posture carried out and filling out the Standard Nordic Questionnaire (SNQ) questionnaire to see which parts experienced pain complaints, and to provide improvements. The suggested improvements given to this problem are improving body posture while working, using an ergonomic chair and using an adjustable table.
