Perancangan dan Pengembangan Produk Medic Waste Sterilizer dengan Metode Brainstorming

Abstract

Pada zaman dahulu proses perancangan produk tidak dilakukan seperti perancangan produk yang ada pada masa sekarang ini, dimana biasanya produk langsung dibuat dan ditempah oleh pengrajinnya yang sekaligus merangkap menjadi pemberi ide / gagasan. Berbeda dengan perancangan produk pada era sekarang ini, dimana dalam merancang dan mengembangkan suatu produk, terdapat tahapan yang harus dilakukan baik itu penciptaan ide, identifikasi, evaluasi, dan lain sebagainya. Salah satu tahapan nya ialah brainstorming. Brainstorming adalah metode curah pendapat yang dilakukan oleh sekelompok orang yang terdiri atas 3-8 orang membahas sesuatu masalah dan mencari solusi. Adapun tujuan brainstorming untuk menstimulasi sekelompok orang untuk menghasilkan sejumlah besar gagasan dengan cepat. Dengan menuangkan kreatifitas ke dalam konsep brainstorming akan membantu perancang mendapatkan sejumlah gagasan / ide yang bisa membantu dalam proses perancangan suatu produk. Pelaksanaan brainstorming dilakukan dengan tahapan brainstorming yang terbagi atas 8 tahapan. Dalam jurnal ini, peneliti akan merancang produk Medic Waste Sterilizer sebagai solusi terhadap permasalahan pada puskesmas ataupun klinik yang tidak memiliki instalasi pengolahan limbah medisnya sendiri. Dalam merancang atribut produk ini, peneliti menggunakan metode brainstorming untuk mengumpulkan ide-ide serta alternatif-alternatif terbaik. Hasilnya, melalui metode brainstorming didapatkan atribut dari produk Medic Waste Sterilizer dengan karakteristik bentuk fungsi utama yaitu tabung, bentuk fungsi tambahan yaitu bulat, warna fungsi utama yaitu kuning, motif produk yaitu polos, hiasan produk berupa stiker-stiker alat medis, letak lampu UV yaitu disamping bagian dalam, dimensi fungsi utama 30cm x 30cm x 41,5cm, dimensi fungsi tambahan 5cm x 5cm x 2cm, bahan fungsi utama yaitu fiber, dan fungsi tambahan berupa pijakan.

The result, through the brainstorming method obtained attributes of the Medic Waste Sterilizer product with the characteristics of the main function form is the tube, the additional function form is round, the main function color is yellow, the product motif is plain, the product decoration is in the form of medical instrument stickers, the location of the UV lamp is besides the inside, the main function dimensions are 30cm x 30cm x 41.5cm, the additional function dimensions are 5cm x 5cm x 2cm, the main function material is fiber, and the additional functions are in the form of steps.
