Teknologi Pengolahan Minyak Gaharu untuk Masyarakat Petani Gaharu di Kecamatan Bahorok dengan Metode Penyulingan Uap

Abstract

Produk tanaman gaharu yang diperdagangkan dalam berbagai bentuk seperti bongkahan, chip dan serbuk, namun ada pula dalam bentuk minyak hasil sulingan. Kegiatan pengabdian yang dilakukan adalah teknologi penyulingan minyak gaharu, dengan metode penyulingan uap. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Bahorok dengan mitra kelompok tani gaharu. Pengabdian ini dilakukan selama 6 bulan. Secara keseluruhan kelompok petani merasa senang dan cukup puas dalam hal pelaksanaan pengabdian dan pemberian alat. Petani berharap untuk tetap dibina di dalam menghasilkan produk turunan dari minyak gaharu seperti sabun alami dari minyak gaharu, minyak aromaterapis gaharu dan lain-lain

 

Agarwood plant products are traded in various forms such as chunks, chips and powders, but there are also in the form of oil from the distillation of agar wood. Community service activities carried out are technology transfers regarding the method of distillation of aloes wood oil, with steam distillation techniques. Community service activities are carried out in the Bahorok District with community service partners namely agarwood farmer groups. This activity is carried out for 6 months. The farmer group was happy and quite satisfied with the results of the implementation of community service activities and they also get a steam system distillation tool. Farmers hope to be fostered later in producing products derived from agarwood oil such as natural soap from agarwood oil, aromatherapy agarwood oil and others.
